Stasis is a status effect that is able to effect all units and mechs alike. It is applied by a handful of sources, including the field of a Lunchbox, Stasis Mine, Tesla Tower, Neo's Stasis Blast, Paladin's Hammer Throw, and Angel's Lockdown Shot
Description[]
Any Unit or AirMech that is applied a stasis effect will show an electric animation around them for however long it is active.
Mechs respond to stasis differently; while mechs do not get a damage debuff or speed debuff on the ground, they will become slow in the air and unable to transform without forcing themselves over terrain that cannot be traversed (such as a cliff or jumping onto an outpost). This makes Stasis a perfect way to trap mechs on the ground and kill, especially with Helix's Air to Ground missiles forcing unavoidable damage to the trapped player and punishing harassment
Units on the other hand slow down and their firepower is decreased by 50%. This has an obvious disadvantage when pushing into territory with a Stasis-causing unit or mech defending it, meaning that the power of your army is significantly hampered and vulnerable to damage against the defending team
There is a serious bug that makes some units immune to Stasis and others not
