AirMech Strategy Quests Variants

Description[]

The Bomber is a slow-moving,hard-hitting AirMech primarily focused on breaking undefended tank and infantry lines and defending from tank pushes and unit clusters with its bombing ability. Its ground melee attack can easily 1-hit-kill most infantry at later levels and its Mantis Strike is unrivaled in its sheer damage capabilities.

The Bomber is an offensive AirMech. Even though the Bomber has the highest ground DPS at point blank range, in the air, its DPS is the lowest. The Bomber is considerably slower (third slowest in the game after Helix and Osprey) than most other AirMechs. The Bomber should generally be used to take out enemy units.

Loadout Builds[]

Always go with a Moneymaker and your choice of either Leveler or Lunchbox. For the infantry you could use a Morty early game for cheese and Brutes after you get to level 5. Use any early to mid game tanks which are Longhorn, Dillo, and Gemini. Have a Goliath/Devestator in one of your slots for endgame pushes. Use your choice of anti-air and artillery. For a pilot use Mako, Lexi/Zara, or Gabe. Parts are more of a personal preference, but I would get Harmonic Blades asap.

Counters[]

The Bomber and its varied modes of attack are all extraordinarily effective against close-packed groups of units. If a Bomber is keen on harassing your units with its Bombs, Mantis Strikes, or Whirlwind, consider spreading them out to prevent damage to multiple units at once.

Obviously some anti-air is very effective against a Bomber, but any kind of AA will suffice to shoo a Bomber, as their armor is relatively weak to anti-air. Missiles and bullets alike are good choices against Bombers.

The Bomber's good area damage and close-quarter effectiveness make it very good at attacking unguarded outposts. Consider packing a cheap defensive unit, such as T45 or Flakker, to guard your outposts against Bomber harassment, but not to put a huge dent in your army production.
